
Munich, Germany – June 24, 2026 – At The Smarter E Europe 2026 exhibition, energy storage manufacturer HiTHIUM introduced its latest commercial and industrial (C&I) solution to the global market: the ∞Power 1022kWh liquid-cooled energy storage cabinet. Engineered around the company's proprietary ∞Cell 1175Ah large-format cells, the new product targets growing C&I requirements for higher safety, dense integration, long-duration dispatch, and lower levelized cost of storage, while broadening HiTHIUM's C&I portfolio.
With rising renewable penetration and evolving electricity market structures, C&I energy consumers are progressing beyond simple peak shaving and load shifting toward holistic energy management, extended-duration use cases, and lifetime revenue optimization. This trend is pushing the segment toward larger capacities, tighter integration, longer discharge cycles, and stronger economics. The ∞Power 1022kWh cabinet addresses this transition through a high-capacity cell foundation, unified architecture, and intelligent controls.
The system utilizes a 1P272S configuration, delivering a nominal 1022.72kWh and packing roughly one megawatt-hour of storage into a single enclosure. Leaning on HiTHIUM's ∞Cell 1175Ah platform, it preserves high energy density while cutting the number of cabinets and simplifying field interconnection complexity. Compared to a typical 1MWh-class setup using four 261kWh units, the new model shrinks the physical footprint by roughly 32 percent. With a single-cabinet area around 3.4 square meters and capacity density of approximately 300kWh per square meter, it boosts land-use efficiency and deployment agility.
Safety remains the essential pillar for reliable storage development. The ∞Power 1022kWh cabinet incorporates a system-wide safety framework spanning cells, system architecture, thermal control, fire protection, and intelligent monitoring. At the cell level, it employs lithium iron phosphate chemistry and draws on HiTHIUM's experience in large-cell research and manufacturing. At the system level, liquid cooling enhances temperature uniformity among cells throughout extended operation.
The battery bay integrates insulation, fire resistance, and abnormal-condition mitigation features. Together with smoke, temperature, and gas detection, the system enables fault identification and coordinated protective responses. The design also aligns with NFPA 855 standards, includes an aerosol suppression system and water fire-protection interface, and is slated for entry into the UL 9540A testing and certification framework.
As C&I storage business models gravitate toward long-duration operation, lifecycle economics have become a central concern for customers. The ∞Power 1022kWh cabinet accommodates a 0.25P charge/discharge rate, suiting it for extended-use applications such as energy arbitrage, demand management, PV self-consumption, backup supply, and microgrids. Its large cells and consolidated design reduce interconnection parts and installation steps, trimming upfront capital costs. Liquid cooling, efficient energy management, and digital operation and maintenance capabilities further support system availability and operating efficiency. The platform is designed for roughly 90 percent round-trip efficiency and low auxiliary power draw, contributing to improved long-term project returns.
Strong environmental resilience is built into the enclosure. It supports wide-temperature operation, IP55 ingress protection, and C5M anti-corrosion treatment, permitting deployment in humid, high-salinity, and demanding outdoor settings. The liquid-cooling loop uses an eco-friendly refrigerant compliant with European Union environmental regulations. The structure is additionally engineered for lifting, transport, wind and snow loads, seismic events, and transit shocks, facilitating safe installation and steady performance across diverse geographies.
The release of the ∞Power 1022kWh liquid-cooled C&I cabinet represents a significant step in extending HiTHIUM's long-duration storage technology into commercial and industrial applications. Moving forward, the manufacturer intends to continue concentrating on high-safety cells, highly integrated systems, intelligent O&M, and global execution capabilities, accelerating the deployment of long-duration energy storage across a wider range of scenarios.
