Narada has recently inked a supply agreement with a Greek energy firm to deliver a 130MWh energy storage system for an independent storage project in Greece. The deal represents a key strategic expansion into the European market for the Chinese battery and energy solutions manufacturer.
The company will supply a comprehensive battery energy storage solution, including both AC and DC equipment. The DC side will incorporate Narada’s Center L Plus liquid-cooled energy storage units, each with a capacity of 5MWh and powered by the company’s proprietary 314Ah battery cells.
In addition to equipment supply, Narada will offer a ten-year full lifecycle operations and maintenance package to ensure sustained project performance.
Greece, situated in the eastern Mediterranean, possesses abundant renewable resources but faces increasing grid management challenges as renewable penetration grows. Storage systems are increasingly vital to securing grid reliability and improving renewable energy utilization.
Upon completion, the project will be integrated into the local grid to perform functions such as peak shaving, frequency regulation, and emergency backup. It is expected to significantly enhance the flexibility and sustainability of the regional energy infrastructure.
