Executive Vice President Bu Xiangnan presented the strategic product, highlighting its integration of high safety standards, extended driving range, and ultra-rapid charging. Much like Mount Everest embodies extremes and discovery, the "Everest" cell reflects CORNEX's drive to challenge technological limits and establish new industry benchmarks, positioning it to lead a new phase in worldwide sustainable transport.

Robust Safety: Multi-Tiered Protection Framework
Safety forms the foundation of the "Everest" battery. CORNEX has developed a comprehensive, multi-level safety system spanning materials to system design:

  • Double-Sided Ceramic Separator: This enhances the separator's heat resistance and thermal shrinkage performance, lowering the chance of short circuits from localized overheating and boosting the cell's inherent safety from the core.

  • Directional Instant-Venting Port: An innovative pressure release pathway allows controlled, swift energy discharge during thermal runaway, managing internal pressure and temperature to uphold critical safety standards against fires or explosions.

Extended Range: Redefining EV Distance Limits
Driving range is a vital measure of EV battery utility. The "Everest" cell employs multi-stage particle grading for the cathode and dual-layer anode coating, reaching a mass energy density of 190 Wh/kg and volumetric energy density of 420 Wh/L. This underpins a system-level range surpassing 1000 kilometers.

To counter performance drops in cold climates, the battery integrates high-activity low-temperature electrolytes, maintaining over 85% energy retention at -20°C. Even with a low 20% state of charge, it sustains a 1C discharge rate, guaranteeing strong power output in frigid, low-charge scenarios.
