HiTHIUM, a globally recognized energy storage technology company, has officially commenced mass production and initiated first deliveries of its high-capacity ∞Cell 587Ah battery at its Xiamen facility. This achievement signals the energy storage sector’s transition into what industry observers are calling the “500Ah+ high-capacity era,” underscoring HiTHIUM’s manufacturing capability and supply chain reliability.
The ∞Cell 587Ah is the result of three years of focused research and represents a major step in battery industrialization. With the global push toward renewable energy, large-capacity storage solutions have become essential for improving system efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring operational safety.
Beginning its long-duration storage research in 2022, HiTHIUM introduced the world’s first 1000Ah+ cell and a 6MWh+ system in 2023. The newly released 587Ah model is derived from the ∞Cell 1175Ah and shares compatibility with the same ∞Pack and ∞Power platforms. It incorporates innovations in chemistry, production process, and structural design, achieving 94.5% efficiency, a lifecycle exceeding 10,000 cycles, and broad application adaptability.
Simultaneously, the company has launched the ∞Power 6.25MWh system designed for two-hour applications, which utilizes the ∞Cell 587Ah. This release further diversifies HiTHIUM’s product offerings, extending their reach across various energy storage scenarios.
To support high-volume production, HiTHIUM upgraded its Xiamen manufacturing base into a fully digitalized and intelligent production line. These enhancements led to a 17.1% increase in production efficiency and a process capability index (Cpk) exceeding 1.33. Through multi-pass anode rolling, improved interface control, and precision temperature management, electrode rebound was reduced by more than half and temperature accuracy raised by 50%. The production line now operates at PPB-level defect rates, reflecting exceptional quality control.
Nearly 2,000 intelligent devices enable full automation with real-time data collection. AI-assisted visual inspection systems are deployed across over 13 stations, utilizing more than 390 CCD and 3D cameras capable of identifying defects as small as 0.3 mm.
