In a decisive move to accelerate utility-scale long-duration energy storage (LDES) across Asia-Pacific and other key renewable markets, HiTHIUM has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Brawn Capital, a prominent renewable energy infrastructure investment firm based in the region. The partnership aims to achieve a cumulative 3 GWh of LDES capacity by 2030 while jointly advancing multiple project collaborations that support low-carbon energy transitions.

The formal signing ceremony was witnessed by Jeff Wu, Founder & Chairman of HiTHIUM, and Scott Reinhart, CEO of Brawn Capital. Representing their respective organizations, Lee Chen, Vice President of APAC at HiTHIUM, and Marvelle, Investment Senior Vice President of Brawn Capital, inked the agreement, reinforcing a shared commitment to scalable, long-duration storage infrastructure.

Founded in 2015, Brawn Capital is a dedicated asset manager specializing in renewable energy infrastructure with operational hubs in Hong Kong and Singapore. The firm is a signatory to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and an active member of the Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC), bringing extensive deal-making experience and a proven track record in photovoltaic and energy storage investments across the region.

The collaboration spans multiple Energy Storage System (ESS) configurations, including both 6.25MWh and 5MWh solutions. A centerpiece is the 10-foot ∞Power Flexsso 3.125 MWh / 6.25 MWh 4-hour Energy Storage System, specifically engineered to overcome logistical bottlenecks in space-constrained or difficult-to-access terrain. By dramatically improving delivery efficiency for projects with limited site footprints and challenging road conditions, the system enables faster project commissioning and operational readiness. According to the companies, approximately 20 ultra-high-voltage (UHV) projects are already in the preparation phase, with 300 MWh of energy storage products scheduled for delivery by 2027. This marks a critical milestone for HiTHIUM in scaling LDES solutions and expanding its Asia-Pacific footprint.

As global energy transition momentum intensifies, the growing share of intermittent renewables such as solar and wind magnifies the need for long-duration storage to enhance grid flexibility, resilience, and load balancing. The Asia-Pacific region, being both a major energy consumption hub and a decarbonization priority, now stands at the forefront of large-scale storage adoption. The HiTHIUM-Brawn Capital alliance arrives at a strategic inflection point, directly addressing grid reliability demands amid rising renewable penetration.

The partnership leverages complementary strengths across hardware, capital deployment, and project execution. HiTHIUM contributes vertically integrated capabilities spanning advanced energy storage battery cells, system integration, and a proven track record in large-scale deliveries, ensuring high-performance, safety-optimized solutions. Brawn Capital complements this with deep expertise in renewable infrastructure financing, project origination, and active asset management — accelerating the deployment of storage assets across key Asia-Pacific markets and beyond.

Driven by carbon neutrality goals and energy security imperatives, energy storage is rapidly evolving into an indispensable flexibility resource for modern power systems. This strategic collaboration not only strengthens both players’ competitive positioning in the storage sector but also injects fresh momentum into building a more flexible, resilient, and sustainable energy architecture across Asia-Pacific. Looking forward, HiTHIUM and Brawn Capital intend to deepen cooperation, jointly advancing next-generation storage technologies, innovative business models, and large-scale application to contribute meaningfully to the global zero-carbon transition.
