Global energy storage leader HiTHIUM has been selected by renewable infrastructure developer Elements Green to deploy a 720MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in the UK. This strategic collaboration, targeting completion by 2027, marks one of Britain’s largest energy storage initiatives to date, accelerating Europe’s shift toward renewable energy.
Strengthening Grid Stability with Advanced Technology
HiTHIUM will supply its industry-leading 5MWh BESS DC blocks and fully customized integration solutions. Integrating cutting-edge technology with specialized engineering, the project ensures high efficiency, enhanced safety, and extended lifespan—critical for stabilizing the UK grid and supporting national net-zero goals.
Mizhi Zhang, HiTHIUM’s Global Business President, stated: "This partnership underscores our commitment to sustainable innovation. By scaling our BESS technology, we advance the UK’s energy transition while setting a global benchmark for grid resilience."
Accelerating Decarbonization and Local Growth
The 720MWh project will reduce renewable energy curtailment, bolster grid flexibility, and diminish fossil fuel dependence. Concurrently, HiTHIUM is expanding its UK and European localization strategy, including dedicated on-the-ground teams and a regional service network established since its 2023 market entry. This approach ensures rapid response and long-term reliability for partners.
Global Leadership in Storage Solutions
Ranked among the world’s top three energy storage battery suppliers (CNESA, 2024), HiTHIUM leverages its 314Ah cell-powered 5MWh containers—optimized for safety, scalability, and cost efficiency—to solidify its role in Europe’s clean energy future.
