Two new cells take center stage: Global debut of 320Ah sodium-ion and AIDC energy storage cells

During the launch segment, Rept Battero unveiled two heavy‑hitting battery cells targeting the global energy storage market and the AI data center sector.
Rept Battero’s dedicated energy storage Wending® 320Ah sodium-ion battery cell made its official debut, featuring a large capacity of 320Ah, an ultra‑long cycle life of over 20,000 cycles, energy efficiency ≥97%, an ultra‑wide operating temperature range of -50°C to 60°C, and a service life of 25‑30 years. Leveraging material innovations in the anode, cathode and electrolyte, along with the Wending® cell structure design, the cell can discharge normally under extreme cold conditions as low as -50°C while retaining more than 87% of its capacity. It also passes overcharge tests without fire, explosion or thermal runaway, and nail penetration tests without valve opening, fire or explosion — significantly improved safety performance. The launch of the Wending® 320Ah sodium-ion cell meets the energy storage industry’s growing demand for long life, high safety and exceptional low‑temperature performance, offering a safer, extra‑wide temperature solution.

Making its world premiere alongside the sodium-ion cell was the 85Ah AIDC energy storage cell, specifically engineered for AI data centers requiring high power, high frequency, large‑scale deployment, full‑scenario adaptability and high reliability. The 85Ah cell supports 10C continuous discharge with excellent capacity retention and a surface temperature controlled at ≤60°C. It features a wide‑temperature design from -40°C to 65°C, allowing discharge at -40°C, and delivers a high‑rate pulse cycle life of more than 60,000 cycles. It also passes stringent safety tests such as nail penetration, thermal runaway, high‑temperature oven and high‑temperature short circuit. As “computing‑power collaboration” becomes a key infrastructure project for shaping a “new form of intelligent economy,” Rept Battero’s 85Ah AIDC cell provides a solid energy foundation for this rapidly evolving field.
