Sungrow Introduces ChargeStack 1000 — A Scalable Megawatt Charging System for European Transport

Amsterdam, Netherlands – October 16, 2025 – Sungrow, a global provider of PV inverters and energy storage systems, has launched the ChargeStack 1000 at its Charging Summit 2025. The new megawatt charging system (MCS), with a scalable capacity from 1 MW to 3.5 MW, is positioned to transform the scalability, economic returns, and grid compatibility of electric transport infrastructure across Europe.

The system's "1+X" modular design allows operators to expand power output incrementally. It supports MCS (1500A) and high-power CCS2 standards, serving diverse vehicle types. A decoupled architecture facilitates future MCS or V2G upgrades without full hardware replacement, potentially cutting upgrade costs by up to 70%.

Focused on profitability, the ChargeStack 1000 enables a rapid 30-minute charge, delivering 600 kWh. Utilizing proprietary SiC technology, it achieves 97% efficiency. Its Full-Matrix Power Distribution is reported to increase charging throughput by 33% and maintain 98.5% operational availability.

Grid integration is a key feature, with the system combining solar, storage, and charging management. This setup allows operators to capitalize on energy arbitrage and virtual power plant participation, potentially increasing profitability by up to 60%. The company states that one-stop commissioning can boost construction efficiency by 50%, supported by a global service network.

The system also aims to enhance user experience with OCPP 2.0.1 compliance, an E-Truck Wake-Up function, and plug-and-charge capability. Deployment is estimated at just 2-4 weeks.

During the summit, Sungrow also revealed new strategic partnerships with European charging operators, integrators, and logistics firms. These collaborations are intended to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility in the region through intelligent and scalable charging infrastructure.
