KUALA LUMPUR – IGEM 2026 wrapped up at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on October 9 local time. Sunwoda brought its portfolio of large-scale and commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage products to the exhibition, demonstrating its product roadmap, technical capabilities and multi-scenario solution strengths for Malaysia and broader Southeast Asian markets.
Driven by ongoing rollouts including MyBeST, LSS6 hybrid solar-storage schemes and the CRESS framework, 4-hour energy storage has emerged as a key growth track for utility-scale storage across Peninsular Malaysia. To capture this market shift, Sunwoda has built two liquid-cooled energy storage platforms under its NoahX series: 5.015MWh and 6.26MWh, delivering differentiated hardware options for utility projects of varying sizes and site constraints.
At the show, Sunwoda featured the 5.015MWh liquid-cooled energy storage system to highlight its mature architecture and built-in compatibility with 4-hour project requirements. Powered by 314Ah cells, the platform delivers robust safety, flexible configuration and high integration. It can be customised to match project specifications on capacity, power output, delivery timelines, certification needs and supply chain conditions.
The firm also presented its larger 6.26MWh liquid-cooled system built around in-house 588Ah high-capacity storage cells. Higher per-container capacity reduces the total number of units and land footprint for big storage developments, cutting BOP expenditure and lifting overall project economics.
On sustainability credentials, the 5.015MWh system has obtained ISO 14067 product carbon footprint certification, while the 6.26MWh variant is undergoing the same assessment. The verified carbon data helps customers conduct full-lifecycle carbon accounting, supply chain audits and sustainable procurement, addressing low-carbon supply chain and ESG requirements for Malaysian data centres and similar deployments.
For commercial and industrial users, Sunwoda displayed a 261kWh outdoor liquid-cooled all-in-one cabinet. It supports solar-storage coordination at industrial parks, peak-valley tariff arbitrage, backup power and critical load protection, delivering flexible and dependable storage for Southeast Asia’s industrial and commercial estates.
During IGEM, Sunwoda shared updates on its 588Ah and 684Ah large-format energy storage cells, covering cell R&D, smart manufacturing and system integration milestones.
With a diversified cell portfolio spanning 314Ah, 588Ah and 684Ah products, Sunwoda can select targeted cell technologies for energy storage systems according to regional markets, application scenarios and client requirements.
Southeast Asia keeps expanding renewable energy installations, pushing power grids to demand more flexible regulation, stable power supply and optimised energy costs. Malaysia stands out as a core green energy hub, opening new opportunities for utility-scale storage, C&I systems and battery storage paired with data centres.
Leveraging its full value chain covering cells, PACK, BMS, EMS and system integration, plus coordinated manufacturing bases in Nanchang, Deyang, Zaozhuang and Thailand, Sunwoda is boosting product supply, on-time project delivery and local technical support for Southeast Asia. The firm is also growing its network of local clients and partners, adapting products and solutions to regional standards, certification rules, grid codes and tropical operating environments.
Moving forward, Sunwoda plans to continue collaborating with Southeast Asian stakeholders with safe, adaptable storage products and global manufacturing synergy. Its offerings will support scaled renewable adoption and low-carbon energy transition across the region.
