Jilin, China | December 18, 2025 — The “Qingqing No. 1” project, now recognized as the world's largest integrated green hydrogen-ammonia-methanol production complex, has officially commenced operations with its first phase activated and second phase initiated. As the core technology provider, Sungrow Hydrogen successfully connected its electrolysis system ahead of schedule, enabling stable, high-purity hydrogen output.
Developed in phases, the facility aims to reach 3 GW of dedicated renewable energy capacity and produce 800,000 tonnes of green synthetic ammonia and methanol annually. This design supports localized consumption of renewable power and its conversion into higher-value chemical products. The project has established four world records: largest overall scale, largest hydrogen storage capacity, broadest load-flexibility range, and largest deployment of alkaline water electrolyzers.
Sungrow Hydrogen’s flexible hydrogen production system has demonstrated the ability to manage intermittency from renewable sources while improving operational efficiency. Validated under complex grid conditions, the system offers reliable performance, supporting the standardization and scaling of green hydrogen infrastructure and providing actionable insights for the global industry.
