RIMINI, Italy – BYD Energy Storage is making a significant impact at KEY ENERGY 2026 (March 4–6), presenting its GW-scale grid-forming energy storage solutions and a comprehensive lineup of residential storage systems. With fully in-house developed technology and a full-scenario product matrix, the company aims to precisely meet Europe's energy transition demands while deepening its footprint across the continent.

Italy, one of Europe's fastest-growing renewable energy hubs, continues to see surging demand for integrated solar-storage installations under supportive policies. This trend places higher requirements on adaptability, safety, and efficiency. BYD's grid-forming GW-scale solution on display is engineered to seamlessly integrate with large-scale wind and PV plants, improving renewable energy consumption efficiency and providing strong support for flexible grid dispatching.

A centerpiece of the booth is the Haohan energy storage system, powered by the world's largest dedicated energy storage Blade Battery with a capacity of 2710Ah. It delivers over 300% higher energy density compared to conventional products, achieves a minimum unit capacity of 14.5MWh, and fits 10MWh into a 20-foot equivalent container. Its volumetric energy density reaches 52.1% – the highest globally and 39.7% above the industry average – reducing enclosure count, footprint, and management complexity. The Haohan system integrates the next-generation GC Flux PCS and GC Master EMS, both developed in-house, ensuring end-to-end supply chain control and optimal system performance across power generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption. It offers a safe, economical, and replicable energy storage solution for new power systems.

At the exhibition floor, BYD is highlighting its residential portfolio, including the Battery-Box HVE, HVB, and HVM+ alongside the Power-Box SH and TH dedicated inverters. These provide a one-stop solar-plus-storage solution tailored to local grid standards and diverse household energy needs.

The Battery-Box HVE, a flagship residential product, features an ultra-thin 140mm design that fits narrow spaces like storage rooms and garages. It offers flexible configurations with 4kWh and 6kWh battery modules, adapting to various household consumption patterns. With IP66 protection and wide temperature adaptability, it is suitable for diverse and demanding installation environments.

Also on display are the mature Battery-Box HVB and HVM+. The HVB incorporates Blade Battery and cell-to-pack (CTP) architecture, lightweight design for easy installation, automotive-grade safety, and a 15-year warranty. The HVM+ delivers robust charge/discharge performance, features a patented blind-mating design, and incorporates multiple safety mechanisms. Both products flexibly address different residential scenarios, from apartments to villas. The Power-Box SH inverter meets small-to-medium power needs, while the Power-Box TH is designed for high-power residential systems, significantly increasing self-consumption of solar power.

As an industry leader, BYD Energy Storage has built a global service network covering sales, delivery, operation, and after-sales.
