LAHORE, Dec 1, 2025 – HiTHIUM and IEC Group, Pakistan's leading power system integrator, officially launched the former's brand and full-scenario energy storage solutions at an event in Lahore. The milestone was attended by Punjab's Energy Minister, Mr. Faisal Ayub Khokhar, former NEPRA Chairman Mr. Tauseef H. Farooqi, alongside nearly 300 representatives from distributors, partners, and media.
A Partnership Rooted in Local Expertise and Innovation
IEC Group, established in 1931, is a foundational player in Pakistan's power sector, holding a leading position in distribution, solar systems, and EPC contracting. Its nationwide network and decades of engineering experience position it as a key driver of the country's energy transformation.
The collaboration, formalized in an August agreement and expanded in September witnessed by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, reaches a substantive phase with this launch. The alliance is poised to inject new momentum into Pakistan's energy storage sector, supporting its shift toward a greener economy.
Addressing Core Energy Challenges
Pakistan's energy landscape, long reliant on costly thermal power and challenged by grid constraints, faces high prices and environmental concerns. Its rapid photovoltaic growth, however, creates ideal conditions for complementary energy storage deployment.
At the event, Ratel You of HiTHIUM stated, "Let green energy benefit all, equally. Providing safe, clean, and affordable electricity is our core mission. We will work with IEC to help Pakistan achieve energy security, environmental improvement, and economic takeoff." IEC Group's spokesperson, Mr. Salem Rehman, highlighted that the high energy costs and demand for stability are driving transformation, where "energy storage is the key."
Deploying End-to-End Technological Solutions
HiTHIUM showcased its vertical integration capabilities, from cells to complete systems. Its solutions for Pakistan include industry-grade LFP battery cells, large-scale grid storage for frequency regulation and peak shaving, modular C&I storage, and the HeroEE series for residential and off-grid use. This portfolio aims to deliver stable, reliable, and economical green energy across all user types.
Demonstrating local market confidence, IEC Group signed distribution MOUs with four Pakistani firms—Sky Electric, Meltek, Goraya, and AA Engineering—to jointly promote HiTHIUM's products.
Building a Framework for Widespread Impact
Under the cooperation, IEC Group will serve as the national distributor for HiTHIUM's residential and commercial storage. Promotion will begin in key regions like Punjab and Sindh, expanding nationwide. The partners project providing clean power to over 300,000 households and thousands of C&I users within three years, potentially creating more than 2,000 jobs.
This deep cooperation not only addresses Pakistan's energy challenges but also sets a notable example for China-Pakistan economic collaboration, fostering greater technological exchange and industrial synergy in the green energy sector.
