At the recent All Energy Australia 2025 exhibition in Melbourne, energy storage specialist HiTHIUM introduced its latest innovations. The global maker debuted its ∞Power N2.28MWh sodium-ion battery system, presented alongside its 6.25MWh long-duration storage unit and the high-capacity ∞Cell 1175Ah battery, highlighting advances for diverse applications, safety, and efficiency.

With Australia's renewable capacity expanding, the grid faces challenges from price shifts and constrained peaking supply. Energy storage is now critical for maintaining grid reliability and optimizing clean power use. Drawing on its technological expertise and global project background, HiTHIUM aims to supply secure, adaptable, and high-performance storage for the nation's energy shift.

The new ∞Power N2.28MWh 1h sodium-ion system is engineered for rapid peak-shaving, utilizing proprietary ∞Cell N162Ah cells that offer a 20,000-cycle lifespan and stable performance across temperatures. It is capable of millisecond-level responses to power variations, making it suitable for AI data centers, industrial power management, and grid support services.

HiTHIUM also featured its ∞Power 6.25MWh 4h long-duration energy storage system, which incorporates high-density batteries within a compact design. Noted for its efficiency, safety, swift installation, and smart management, the system aligns with Australia's need for mid-duration storage and supports renewable smoothing, peak shaving, and frequency control.

At the event, Application Engineering Director Jay Che outlined the advantages of standardized platforms for multi-duration storage. Michael Rush, Senior Sales Director for ANZ, provided perspectives on local service capabilities, safety testing, and lithium-sodium hybrid solutions for powering AI data centers.
